CEDAR FALLS -- Walter F. “Walt” Krallman, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

He was born July 1, 1923, in Murdo, S.D., son of Herman and Ida Bose Krallman. He married Miriam Craft on Jan. 30, 1951, in Yankton, S.D.

Walt served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of South Dakota and was employed with Fairbanks Morse for two years. He then worked in the engineering department at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 31 years.

Survived by his wife; a sister, Ardess (Darius) Gunther of Montrose, S.D.; two nephews and seven nieces; 18 great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-nephew and four great-great-nieces.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Delzer and Ruth Yeschick; a nephew and two nieces.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at College Hill Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment at a later date in Greencastle, Ind. Richardson Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
