WATERLOO - Mary Jean "Patricia" Lichty, 78, of Waterloo, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born March 17, 1927, in Moline, daughter of Samuel and Gertrude Olivia Olson Petersen. She married Lynn I. Lichty Nov. 17, 1964, in Preston, Minn.

Mrs. Lichty was employed as a hostess/waitress at the Chesterfield Club, Colony Club and the Cozy Inn before retiring.

Survived by her husband, Lynn of Waterloo; two sons, Thomas Charles Turner and Burton Scott (Linda) Turner, both of Waterloo; two daughters, Penny Sue (Linn) Azbill of Waterloo and Peggy Jean Johnson of Cedar Falls; a stepson, Terry K. (Hollace) Lichty of Waterloo; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Herbert; three sisters, Irene, Bernice and Margie; a grandson, Charles Ray Wolf; and a son-in-law, Gerald Dean Johnson.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or Heartland Community Church, La Porte City.
