Jill Lewis Wright, 42, of Newton, formerly of 315 Columbia Circle, died Nov. 10 at Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, of a viral infection.

She was born April 7, 1947, in Jefferson, the daughter of John W. and Louise M. Leonard Lewis. She married William B. Wright on May 15, 1971, in Waterloo.

She was employed at Wayne's Beauty Salon before moving to Newton, where she owned and operated Jill's House of Hair.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Waterloo; and two brothers, John William Lewis II of Davenport and Joseph Lewis of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services were Nov. 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newton. Inurnment will be at a later date at St Joseph's Cemetery, Jefferson. Wallace-Pence Funeral Home, Newton, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center, 200 E. Ridgeway Ave., in care of the Radiation Department.
