CEDAR FALLS -- Robert Burr, 70, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Cedar Valley Hospice.

He was born Feb. 3, 1944, in Cresco, son of Roy and Ester Burr. He married Jean Hyberger on Aug. 29, 1964, at Assumption Church, Cresco.

Bob graduated from Crestwood High School, Cresco, and worked as a contractor.

Survived by two daughters, Brenda Heath of Janesville and Tammy (Chuck) Olson of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; a son, Robert of Janesville; four grandchildren, Becca, Baylee, Brady and Renee; and two sisters, Reva Shafovaloff of Germany and Lois Powell of New Mexico.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don; and a sister, Marge McGee.

There will be no services. Iowa Cremation, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.

Bob loved to fish, cook steak over a cozy campfire and spend time with his family. He taught us to work hard, enjoy the simple things and most of all love. He was easy to talk to and always made you smile. He will be missed!
