WATERLOO - Connie Elaine Johnson, 56, of Waterloo, died Saturday, March 22, 2014. at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of complications of cancer.

She was born June 17, 1957, in Waterloo, daughter of Donald and Elaine Payne Gaston.

Connie was a homemaker and had worked at several businesses in the Cedar Valley over the years.

Survived by three daughters, Melissa Oesterle of Denver, Melinda (Chad) Williams of Waterloo and Melaine (Chad) Dix of Ackley; a son, Joshua Johnson of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Stevana, Seraphie, Shilo, Abbie, Bailey, Jared and Carter; her mother of Waterloo; her companion, Larry Clayton of Waterloo; and two sisters, Linda (Gene) Brown and Brenda Gaston, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
