WATERLOO - Mae P. Gilliland Diggins, 92, formerly of Waterloo, died Aug. 20, 2005.

She was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Dike, daughter of Samuel and Lillie Gilliland. She married Frank E. Diggins Dec. 4, 1928, and he preceded her in death.

She worked in the art department at Powers Manufacturing for more than 20 years. She was also on the board of directors of the Powers Credit Union, assisting in its creation.

Survived by a son, Francis Diggins of Rockaway Beach, Mo.; two daughters, Myrna Kramer of Bellevue, Neb., and Patricia Fuller of El Paso, Texas; 35 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband; a son, Russell; three brothers, Louis, Robert and William Gilliland; a sister, Laura Butler; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls.
