Mrs. Bertha Hellen died at 4:30 a.m. today at the home of her son, C. W. Hellen, 253 Prospect Avenue, after an illness extending over several months. She was 59 years old.

She had lived in Waterloo 15 years coming here from Webster City. During the last few years she had been making her home with her son, who was on a business trip to New York at the time of her death.

There are two children, Mrs. O. D. Kinsey, Chicago, and C. W. Hellen, Waterloo.

Funeral arrangements will not be made until the arrival of her son from the east. The body will be at O'Keefe & Towne's Mortuary until then.
