Mrs. Hugh McCartney, ago 56, died at her home, 628 Third Street West, at 1:25 p.m. today. She had been ill about six months.
Besides the husband, she is survived by a son, James Stout. Waterloo; and two step-daughters, Jessie and Dorothy McCartney. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Anna Wood Pontiac; Ill.; Mrs. Ida Reynolds, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Nora Sawyer, Kansas City; Mrs. Laura Olds, Fayetteville, Ark.;. P. Bradley, Virden, Ill.; and Mrs. Clara Brand, Springfield, Ill.
Funeral arrangements have not been made.
