Mrs. Anna Steffen, 72, 419½ Locust Street, widow of H. W. Steffen died Monday afternoon in Allen Memorlal Hospital, from gall bladder trouble.

Anna Seick was born in Germany Jan. 1, 1857. and came with her parents to the United States when she was 9 years old, the family settling at Davenport. Later they resided at Traer and Reinbeck.

She married H. W, Steffen, Oct 26. 1881. The couple resided on farm near Reinbeck until 16 years ago, when they moved to Waterloo. Hor husband died Feb. 10, 1927.

Surviving are one brother, A. E Seick, and a sister, Mrs. Willlan Jerguson, both of Harlan, Mont.; also 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A daughter, Mrs. Emma Kopache, died six years ago.

Mrs. Jerguson arrived here today. The body is at Petersen Bros Mortuary.
