La Porte City, Oct. 20.— Henry Pearsall died this morning at 2 o'clock. He had been troubled for years with diabetes and it ts supposed that this disease caused his death.

Mr. Pearsall was born in Indiana in 1839, being at the time of his death 65 years of age. He was an old soldier and was a member of the 20th Indiana regiment.

He is survived by two brothers and two sisters. One brother lives at Walker, Iowa, and the other at Center Point, Iowa. They are both here to attend the funeral, having arrived last evening. One of the sisters resides in Washington state and the other in St. Louis.

Mr. Pearsall was twice married. To the first union five children were born and to the second one child. Two of the sons by the first wife are living in this city.

Decedent had lived in Iowa since 1876, and was well known in La Porte ana surrounding country.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, but it Is thought the services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Old soldiers will act as pall bearers.
