CEDAR FALLS - Helen Maye Rogers, 67, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Des Moines, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at her home of complications from Parkinsons disease.

She was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Boone, daughter of Clarence Albert and Helen Vareane McBeth Foltz. She married Laverne C. Bancroft Oct. 26, 1958, in Boone. He died March 30, 1982. She then married Bruce G. Rogers Oct. 12, 1996.

She attended Boone High School, Boone Community College and received her bachelor of arts degree from Brigham Young University. She taught at the Dallas Center Elementary School and then worked for the Polk County Solid Waste Agency.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Mike (Margaret) Bancroft and Mark (Julia) Bancroft, both of Katy, Texas; two daughters, Lori (Scott) Adelman of Katy and Lisa (Blair II) Moser of Sacramento, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Don (Ann) Foltz of Boone; and three stepchildren, Craig (Esther) Rogers of Towson, Md., Sharon (Dale) Johnson of LaCenter, Wash., and Brian Rogers of Irvine, Calif.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cedar Falls Ward, with burial in the Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines. Friends may call for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family who will donate them in her name.
