Carl Breitzman, 90, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Breitzman, 612 Independence Avenue, of a complication of diseases incident to his advanced age.

He was born July 9, 1843, at Mecklenburg, Germany. He married Miss Charlotte Lange 58 years ago in Germany, and the couple came to Waterloo in 1882, moving immediately to a farm near Gilbertville. They retired and moved to Waterloo in 1919.

Mr. Breitzman attended Trinity American Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his son are a daughter, Mrs. Louisa Weltzin, Raymond, Ia., 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

His wife preceded him in death Aug. 9, 1920.

Funeral services will be at 2 p m Friday at Trinity American Lutheran Church, Rev. G. E. Melchert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Fairview Cemetery [Waterloo]. The body will remain at Petersen Bros.' Funeral Home until time of services.
