Services for Richard L. Evans, 62, of Marion, formerly of Waterloo, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home, Alta. with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Aka. Mr. Evans died Wednesday morning at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born May 22, 1919, at Storm Lake. On Sept. 1, 1941, he married Mary Jeanne Benson at Alta. She died June 1, 1980. He was engaged to marry Eleanora Bullene of Cedar Rapids on May 22. He had been employed by automobile dealers in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids. He had been a Marion resident for the past 11 years.

Survivors include a son, Mark Evans of Fayetteville, N.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Nelson of Waterloo, Mrs. Darrell Hinshaw of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jill Evans of Marion; his mother, Blanche Evans of Storm Lake; two brothers, Donald Evans of Freeport, Ill., and Bud Evans of Waseca, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Murdoch Chapel, Marion, from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
