CEDAR FALLS — Rudy C. Spreitzer, 78, of 915 State St., died Monday, Dec. 16, 1991, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of pneumonia.

He was born Nov. 12, 1913, in Eveleth, Minn., son of Joseph and Marie Malevich Spreitzer. He married Esther T. Maki on Aug. 22, 1942, in Virginia, Minn.

Mr. Spreitzer served in the Coast Guard during World War II and was a sales representative for Famous Brands Co. of Duluth, Minn., then Spreitzer Heavy Equipment Co. of Cedar Rapids. Following retirement in 1978, he was a part-time sales representative for Texas Refinery Corp.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Spreitzer of Cedar Rapids; a son, Steven Charles of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Marjorie Lavalier of Parkville, Minn.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Joseph; and two sisters, Rose Sundquist and Tillie Mrachek.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Virginia, Minn. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
