Raymond Bruening, 28, of Castle Rock, Colo., formerly of Waterloo, died Dec. 8, 1991, at home. His death has been ruled suicide, according to Bob Gibson, Douglas County deputy coroner.

He was bom July 25, 1963, in Postville, son of Robert and Eileen White Bruening. The family moved to Waterloo and he attended Central High School. He moved approximately 10 years ago to Castle Rock, where he was employed by Denver Brick.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda; a daughter, Jessica Bruening of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Danette Glenn of Castle Rock; a sister, Jo Ann Scharrar of Castle Rock; his parents, Gary and Eileen Bartlett of Des Moines and Robert and Alice Bruening of Waterloo; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. John White of
Bluffton.

A memorial service was Friday, Dec. 13, in Castle Rock. A local memorial service will be at a later date. Andrews-Caldwell-Gibson Funeral Home, Castle Rock, was in charge of arrangements.
