WATERLOO - Kevin McLaughlin, 39, of Bishop, Calif., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, March 11, 2014, of natural causes.

He was born June 13, 1974, in Ottumwa, son of James T. and Kimary J. Hill McLaughlin.

He attended Waterloo West High School. Kevin worked in the food service industry in Waterloo, most notably at Red Lobster. He worked in hotel management in California.

Survived by his father of Waterloo; his mother, Kimary Fouts of Waterloo; a sister, Kathryn (Brian) Phillips of Waterloo; and two nephews, Matthew McLaughlin and Sean Phillips, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Doris Hill; and paternal grandparents, Cecil McLaughlin and Dorothy Buttens.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home. The family will greet friends after the service in St. Edward's Catholic Church Hall.
