CEDAR FALLS - Evelyne V. Lyons, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center.

She was born Feb. 4, 1924, in Otteson, daughter of Conlee and Ethel Sadler Hoag. She married William Lyons on March 16, 1946, in Nashua; he died Jan. 29, 1977.

Evelyne graduated from Waterloo West High School and had been employed as a clerk at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works and as a bookkeeper at Pope Manufacturing and Denny Staebell Home Improvement.

Survived by two sons, Dane (Debbie) of Middleton, Idaho, and Thomas (Debbie) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Jayneen (J.D.) Arrasmith of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Jack Osborne of Des Moines.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Hoag; and a sister, Janeth Osborne.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
