WATERLOO - Beverly Jean Huch, 64, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, July 9, 2005, of a respiratory illness.

She was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Waterloo, daughter of Lloyd and Byrdine Hammer Gress. She married William "Bill" Huch on Oct. 15, 1960, at St. Johns Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Mrs. Huch graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1959, where she played the trumpet in the marching band. In early years, she worked at the Waterloo Theatre; was a bookkeeper at Walker Shoes; and was a dental technician at Ruby Dental.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael (Chris) of Chandler, Ariz., and Terry (Karen) of Mesa, Ariz.; a daughter, Kristin (Chad) Lay of Marshall, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Shelby and Seth Lay, both of Marshall, Wis., Lauren, Mike and Madisen Grams, all of Hudson, and Katie and Dylan Huch, both of Chandler, Ariz.; and two brothers, Larry "Chico" (Peggy) Gress and Gary (Sue) Gress, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Julie Grams.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edwards Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Beverly will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
