CEDAR FALLS - Ines Freida Goranson, 88, of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 12, 1917, near Dike, daughter of August and Freida Behrens Wellman. She married Richard B. Goranson on Aug. 21, 1953, at St. John Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. He died Oct. 22, 1989.

Mrs. Goranson was raised on a farm near Dike. She loved to garden her flowers and cherished her cabin in the Methodist Camp, Clear Lake. After her husbands death, she remained in her home in Cedar Falls until moving to ManorCare Nursing Home, Waterloo, four years ago. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Timothy (Kathy) of Johnston; and a grandson, John Goranson of Johnston.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Roberta; four brothers; and a sister.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church.
