Mrs. Waterman was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Wadena, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will McLavey. She had lived in Waterloo the last 14 years.

She was married Aug. 1, 1938, in Waverly, Iowa, to Alfred Waterman, who died Nov. 20, 1948, in Waterloo. A baby daughter died in July 1947.

Mrs. Waterman was employed as a cashier at the Ford Hopkins East Side Store.

Surviving are her father, Will McLavey, Arlington, Iowa; mother, Mrs. Lillian O'Connor, 104 Franklin Street; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Audas, 104 Franklin Street, and Mrs. Frances Adams, Arlington; and one half-brother, Hugh Lockard, West Union, Iowa.

The body is at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home where Funeral arrangements are pending.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Waterman, 27, of 104 Franklin Street will be at 3 p.m. Friday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Mrs. Waterman was killed Wednesday by a hit-and-run driver in the 600 block on Independence Avenue.

Rev Earl Munger will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
