CEDAR FALLS - James R. Anderson, 79, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waverly, died at his home Sunday, May 29, 2005 of natural causes.

He was born April 13, 1926, in Waverly, son of Allen Raymond and Faye Boggs Anderson. On Jan. 25, 1947, he married Betty Lou Voss at St. Marys Catholic Church in Waverly. She died July 26, 2001.

Mr. Anderson attended Waverly High School, then worked for the family trucking business, Anderson Trucking. The couple resided in the Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Waverly area, where he continued with the trucking business, becoming owner of Anderson Trucking in 1961, retiring in 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen James of Cedar Falls and Timothy William of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Sigrid Ellen Anderson of Des Moines, two grandchildren; and a sister, Frances (Carl) Kasemeier of Hot Springs, Ark.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Lenore (Anderson) Hazelitt and Rae Jean (Anderson) Bolin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Marys Catholic Church, Waverly, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, where there will be a 7 p.m. public Scripture service.
