Inquest Friday to
Probe Into Death of Leonard Noss

An inquest to determine the exact cause of death of Leonard Noss, 18-year-old orphan, who died at St. Francis Hospital Tuesday, will be conducted Friday night by Dr. Sidney D. Smith, coroner.

The lad was found unconscious in a field on the Gus Schneider farm near Raymond Monday noon and failed to come out of a state of coma up to the time of his death.

A post mortem performed last night by Dr. R. W. Allen. Jesup, who first attended the boy. developed nothing except the belief that the boy died from the effects of sunstroke, coupled with an undernourished condition of the body.

The slight wound found on the boy's head, which at first led to thoughts of foul play, was found to be superficial and the death could not be attributed to it, states Dr. Smith.

The body will be at O'Keefe & Towne's mortuary until the time of the funeral.

Mrs. Edward Noss, living on a farm near Raymond, a relative of the dead orphan, will probably make arrangements for the funeral today. A brother, who was called from Osage, arrived last night but departed after the post mortem.
