REINBECK - Mae Jean Hoeppner, 84, of Reinbeck, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck.

She was born Oct. 11, 1929, in Waterloo, daughter of Emil and LaVonne Willer. She married Bob Hoeppner on June 15, 1949, in Oelwein. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1949 and went on to earn her diploma from Gates College. Mae Jean worked as a secretary in Reinbeck for both Pioneer and Iowa Electric. She was a member of Union Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survived by a daughter, Rebecca Hoeppner; two grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Larry and Dennis Willer; and a sister, Marlene Peters.

Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Claudia Hirl; a son-in-law, Richard Hirl; and a sister, Eleanor Willer.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Reinbeck, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Reinbeck Cemetery.
