CEDAR FALLS - Margaret S. "Meg" Loomis, 94, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at NewAldaya Lifescapes of natural causes.

She was born June 9, 1919, in Putnam County, Ohio, daughter of Jacob and Bessie Keel Stultz. She married Paul Loomis on Nov. 6, 1962, in Boulder, Colo. He died Dec. 23, 2011.

Meg graduated from North High in Columbus, Ohio, then went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in home economics and textiles from Ohio State University in 1941. She worked for Marshall Field Department Stores in Chicago as a buyer for several years. She was a member of Waterloo First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and volunteer for the Red Cross.

Survived by two stepdaughters, Shirley Main of West Allis, Wis., and Susan (Jim) Mapes of Pine River, Minn.; nieces, Dottie Mastrek of Alliance, Ohio, and Margaret Maloon and Sandra Rowles, both of Columbus; and her caregivers, Ken and Cheryl Schwake of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Wendell F. Stultz; and a sister, Ruth Elizabeth Roloson.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Chapel at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo. The family will greet friends for an hour before the service. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
