CEDAR FALLS - Donna J. Schneiderman, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Palo Alto County, daughter of Carl W. and Ada B. Ford Hosier. On July 6, 1944, she married Harold H. Schneiderman in Marion, S.C. He died Jan. 26, 1997.

Mrs. Schneiderman graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1943 and received her LPN degree from Area 1 in Calmer. She worked as an LPN at St. Joseph Hospital, New Hampton, retiring in 1975. She then operated an alteration business from her home from 1976 until January of 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Jill (John) Uhlenberg of La Porte City; two sons, John (Cindy) of Marshalltown and Jim of Mission Viejo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Dale Hosier; and a sister, Carla McDonald.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John American Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home.
