EVANSDALE - Sylvia Paine Burkheimer, 68, of Mason City, died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City.

She was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Forest City, daughter of Iva Fuston and Helmer G. Hanson. She married Bobbie D. Paine Jan. 1, 1955, at Holy Name Catholic Church, Rockford. He preceded her in death. She later married Ivan Burkheimer.

Mrs. Burkheimer attended school in Nora Springs and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1954. She lived in Nora Springs while her husband was stationed in Germany. After his return, the couple lived in Silver Bay, Minn., for a brief period and then moved to Evansdale. She spent most of these years working with her first husband in the used car business and also as a realtor. She moved to Dallas in the mid-1980s, and after her first husbands death, she worked at Lomas Financial as a special projects loan analyst. She spent the next 14 years with her husband, Ivan Burkheimer, in Dallas until 1999, when they retired to Mason City.

Survivors include her husband of Mason City; two daughters, Kim (Joel) Field of McKinney, Texas, and Robyn (Don) Pint of Glendale, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Nicole and David Field of McKinney, Christopher (Jessica) Pint of Honolulu and Matthew and Morgan Pint of Glendale; two stepsons, Gary (Helen) Burkheimer of Madrid and Steven (Jana) Burkheimer of Clarion; a brother, Rodney (Pat) Hanson of Clinton; and three sisters, June (Don) Johnson and Maxine (William) Worsley, both of Clear Lake, and Laurel (Clem) O'Rourke of Mason City.

Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Gary and Curtis Hanson and Roger in infancy; and an infant granddaughter, Rachael.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 302 Fifth St. S.E., Mason City, with the Revs. Harry Koelker and Kenneth Gehling officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery following service. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Mason City.
