WATERLOO - Ruth Helen Roe, 89, of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon, of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 19, 1916, in Waverly, daughter of John and Magdalena Griner Leet. She married John Koloc in March 1943 in Waterloo, and they later divorced. She married Paul Roe on July 4, 1956, in Omaha, Neb. He died June 30, 1993.

Mrs. Roe was as a clerk at Black's Department Store.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Koloc-Wolf; two grandchildren, Bonnie Henley and Deon Koloc of Alabama; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle Durann and Jadon Koloc of Alabama.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Deon Koloc; three brothers, Romaine, Arthur, and her twin Robert Leet; a sister, Florence Graf; and a special friend, Bill Rentz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
