WATERLOO -- Bertha M. Scoggin, 97, of Buffalo, Mo., formerly of Waterloo, died Feb. 12, 2014, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo.

She was born Aug. 5, 1916, daughter of Eli and Sylvia Eastman. She married Robert K. Scoggin on June 14, 1937; he preceded her in death.

Survived by two sons, Gary (Barbara) of Dubuque and Ken (Trudy) of O’Fallon, Mo.; a daughter, Barbara of Buffalo; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Forest Eastman of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sons, Ted and Tom; and three brothers, Walter, Frank and Lewis Eastman.

There will be no service at her request. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery at a later date.
