WATERLOO -- Frances Geraldine Wilber, 86, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born April 1, 1927, in Hansel, daughter of Elmer and Nellie Downs Gustafson. She married James Franklin Wilber July 26, 1952, in Bemidji, Minn. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Frances was employed with the Busy Bee Café, Canfield Airport and Chesterfield Café. The real work of her life was in caring for her children and her grandchildren

Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie (Edward) Kleiner of Waterloo and Michelle Jon “Jonnie” Wilber of Woodward; a son, Anthony “Tony” (Mary) of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Kirsten (Michael) Baker, James (Nicole Arends) Kleiner, Daniel Kleiner, Virginia (Matthew Gibbon) Wilber and Johnathan Wilber; five great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Natalie and Owen Baker, Makenzie Kleiner and Sawyer Gibbon; four stepgrandchildren, James (Louise) Wilber, Linda Wilber, Scott Gantenbein and Jamie (Dan) Eager; and two sisters, Lucille Jorgenson of Waterloo and Jo Auguello of Traer.

She was preceded in death by two stepchildren, James Wilber and Mary Ann Gantenbein; three brothers, James, Harold “Curly” and Roy Gustafson; and a sister, Margaret Baird.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and also for an hour before services on Saturday.

Frances loved to fish, loved her family with all her heart and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be greatly missed, but will be at peace with her Lord.
