WATERLOO - Mildred V. "Milly” Reuter, 96, of Ridgeway Place, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 27, 1917, in New Hartford, daughter of Harry and Anna Nelson Jorgensen. She married Harold Palmer in 1938 and they later divorced. She married Jay Leslie Reuter in 1943 and he died in 1968.

Milly graduated from New Hartford High School and the Iowa Normal School. She was food service manager for the Waterloo Community Schools. She also was a member of Central Christian Church; and was president of her high school class and of the Iowa Food Service Association.

Survived by two daughters, Patricia (Wayne) Reuter Riddle of Waterloo and Cheryl Kay (Charles) Immerzeel of Janesville; five grandchildren, Craig Immerzeel, Jill (Joe) Junk, Scott (Brenda) Immerzeel, Jodi (Tim) West and Julie (Don) Boyle; 11 great-grandchildren, Keith Immerzeel, Ashley Immerzeel, Jason Junk, Justin Junk, Jessica Moffitt, Emily Immerzeel, Brandi Immerzeel, Lexi West, Karlee Boyle, Keaton Boyle and Marlee Boyle; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen McCarty.

Preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Jorgensen; and a sister, Muriel Stephens.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Bend Humane Society
