WATERLOO -- Roger Dean Baumgartner, 51, of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1962, in Waterloo, son of Robert and Janelle Thill Baumgartner. He married Christel Haas on Feb. 16, 2008, in Waterloo.

Roger had worked at Iowa Fence Masters.

Survived by his wife; a stepson, Vince; a stepdaughter, Wynema; three grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Janelle and Dennis Herrmann of Maynard; his father of Palm Coast, Fla.; four sisters, Norma (Donald) Weathermon, Ethel Baumgartner and Carol (Robert) Burton, all of Waterloo, and Dixie (Randy) Burk of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Eleanor Baumgartner.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace, Evansdale.
