LESTER A. GRANGER

The body of Lester A Granger 71, former resident of Nashua and Waterloo who died Friday morning of complications at his home in Tacoma, Wash., is expected to arrive early this week for services and burial.

Born Apr 2, 1872, on a farm in Bremer Co, Iowa, he was the son of Ebenezer A. and Olive (Marsh) Granger.

He married Carrie Dana at Nashua Iowa in March 1892 and the couple resided there until 17 years ago, when they moved to Waterloo. Mr Granger was employed as caretaker of Waterloo City Parks and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. For the past two years he had been residing in Tacoma.

Surviors are four daughters, Mrs L.A. Scharnweber, Waterloo, Mrs C H Isley, Cedar Falls, Mrs A R Fredrickson, Eugene, Ore, Mrs J D McChesney, Waterloo, and one son Willard A Granger, Waterloo; a sister Mrs Ella Tower, Tacoma, Wash; and 12 grandchildren.

Mrs Frederickson will accompany the body to Waterloo.

Funeral services will conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Kerns Garden Chapel by Rev H E Dierenfield, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church and at 2:30 P.M. at the Little Brown Church, near Nashua, Iowa. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.
