EVANSDALE - Ricky Gene Powell, 57, of Evansdale, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 2, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Jack and Beverly Bosley Powell. He married Kerry Cunha on Nov. 3, 1991, in Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife; two stepsons, Jamey (Justine) Brown of Allison and Jeffrey Brown of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Ashlee and Alec Brown; two brothers, Virgil (Betty) and Skip, both of Waterloo; a sister-in-law, Barb Powell of Cedar Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack; a sister, Kathy Kezar; and a nephew, Dustin Shaver.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation.
