CEDAR FALLS -- Berniece L. “Bea” Brown, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Westbrook Acres, Gladbrook.

She was born Dec. 8, 1924, in Menlo, daughter of John P. and Nora Nunguesser Horn. She married Daniel Clifford Brown on Dec. 20, 1946, in Cedar Rapids; he died Sept. 20, 2008.

Bea graduated from Cedar Falls High School and was employed as a corporate secretary in the legal department at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo, retiring in 1983 after 41 years.

Survived by a sister, Dolores Horn of Waterloo; a niece, Phyllis Oberhauser of Cedar Falls; and many other nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Duane and Everett Horn; and a sister, Velma Glaspie.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John American Lutheran Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Richardson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
