Mrs. E. S. Ramsay of Cedar Falls
Is Dead; Rites Tuesday

Cedar Falls—Mrs. E. S. Ramsay, 79, died Saturday night at the home of her niece, Mrs. S. A. Lynch, 421 Twenty-fourth Street West. She had been in failing health for the past year.

Erma Rosalie Finke was born in California, Mo., April 16, 1860. In 1903 she was married to Dr. E. S. Ramsay, prominent physician of Kansas City, Kan. After the death of her husband in 1907, she returned to California, Mo., to care for her aged mother until her death in 1915. She then came to Cedar Falls and lived with her
niece.

Two step-daughters live in New York City.

Mrs. Ramsay was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and took active part in the various religious organizations. During the World War she was director of Red Cross work on College Hill.

She was a member of the Tuesday Club until recently when she resigned on account of ill health. She was a volunteer teacher in the first night school for adults in Cedar Falls..

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. from Dahl's Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Giffen, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, at Kansas City, Kan. Professor and Mrs. Lynch will accompany the body to that city.
