CEDAR FALLS - Services for Lawrence W. Cranston, 59, of 1309 Iowa St., will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He died Wednesday at 6 a.m. at Sartori Memorial Hospital of a heart attack.

He was born Nov. 11, 1914, at Pollock, S.D., the son of N. Willis and Beth Van Valkenburgh Cranston. He married Helen Carlson July 9, 1934, at Pollock, S.D.

He worked for the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for over 31 years.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Gordon of Grundy Center, Loren of 1826 Grand Blvd., and Donald, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Lee Klingenborg of 719 W. 10th St., and Mrs. Don Meyer of 916 W. 10th St.; a brother, Albert of Cheyenne,. Wyo.; two sisters, Blanche Quigley of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Hugh Fairclough of Seattle, Wash.

The family suggests memorials in his name be given to the church. The casket will not be opened at the church and friends may call at the Dahl-VanHove-Schoof Funeral Home until noon Friday.
