Services for Ralph M. Kayser, 67, formerly of Waterloo, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Independence. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There will be a parish rosary at 3 p.m. Monday, a Catholic Order of Foresters rosary at 7:30 p.m. Monday and a Catholic wake service at 8 p.m. Monday, all at Mason Hawe Funeral Chapel in Independence.

He died Friday in McAllen, Texas, where he lived during the winter for several years. He lived in Independence the past six years since moving from Waterloo where he was employed as a supervisor at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works 28 years.

He was born Jan. 2, 1909, in rural Independence, the son of Nick and Eva Schuler Kayser. He married Bemadet Bernard in Independence Feb. 20, 1936.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry of 214 Kingsley St., Tom of Fairbank, and Jeral of Oak Park, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Bergen of Waterville. Maine; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Schuck of Parkersburg of and Mrs. Mabel Beavers of Burlington; and a brother, Clarence of 723 Denver St.

A memorial fund has been established al the church. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Monday.
