Adrian H. “Mac” McGrane
March 10,1919 – March 20,1976

Services for Adrian “Mac” McGrane, 57, of 1203 Vine St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. Sunday, a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Monday and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8 p.m. Monday, all at Oppold Funeral Home. Mr. McGrane was dead on arrival at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a heart attack about 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 1976.

He was born March 10, 1919, near Elma, son of Thomas and Abigail O'Connell McGrane. He married Erma Toll in 1939 in Waterloo.

Owner and operator of McGrane Realtors, he was a city councilman under former Waterloo Mayor Lloyd Turner, and served with the Army during World War II. He was Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and at the time of his death was a trustee. He was a charter member of Amvets and Hibernians, and president of St. John's Catholic Church Credit Union.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Tom of Des Moines, Bill of 616 Kirkwood Ave., Terry of Denver, Larry of 343 Prospect Ave., Rich of 1421 Maxine St., and Pat at home; four daughters, Mrs. Joan Craig of 97 Joy Dr., Mrs. Barbara Reidy of 318 Arizona St., Mrs. Mary Jane Osgood of 2116 Casper Ave., and Linda at home; four brothers, Vincent and Melvin, both of Elma, Earl of Jacksonville, IL, and Donald of Waverly; and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Rosonke, Miss Rosella McGrane, and Mrs. Matt Palmersheim, all of Elma.

Memorials may be given to Columbus High School.
