Mrs. Anna Spragle, 85, died of complications of age a. m. Friday at Parkview Gardens Care Center. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, where services are planned for 1 p. m. Monday. Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Spragle was born July 9, 1885, in Benton County. She was the daughter of George and Martha Schellhase Speck and was married in Benton County to Horace Spragle on Feb. 26, 1908. The couple moved to Waterloo in 1929.

She is survived by two sons, Howard W. Spragle Jr. of 2820 Heights Drive, Cedar Falls, and Francis A. Spragle of 1147 Mitchell Ave.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters; Mmes. Lena Holtz and Ross Biggs, both of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Margaret Holtz of Kansas City, Mo.

Mrs. Spragle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, a sister, two daughters and a son.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Spragle, 85, of the Parkview Gardens Care Center, will be a 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Parrot & Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Paulis, associate pastor of First United Methodis Church, officiating. Burial wil be in Big Grove Cemetery near Garrison.

She is survived by two sons Horace W. Spragle Jr. of 2820 Cedar Heights Drive, Cedar Falls and Francis A. Spragle or 1147 Mitchell Ave.
