Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kearns Garden Chapel for Mrs. Anna Schaftall, 78, who died at 12:30 p. m. Saturday, after a lingering illness which followed a paralytic stroke in October. 1939.

Native of Seymour, Ind., Anna Kathrine Kruse was born July 29, 1862. She was married to Frank Schaftall in 1879. He preceded her in death March 27, 1923, following which the widow moved to Waterloo and resided with a daughter, Mrs. Emma Smith, 917 Dawson Street.

Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Smith, are three grandchildren, Mrs. Treva Beckins, Tejunga, Cal., F. W. Smith, Waterloo, and Erwin L. Smith, Cedar Falls. Three greatgrandchildren and two half brothers. William Bick, Columbus, Ind., and E. H. Bick, Forada, Minn., also survive.

Mrs. Schaftall was a member of the Methodist church at Nashua, Ia. Burial Tuesday will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua.
