NUS, WITTORF, SCHOEPPE, BERGER

Herman C. Nus, Arlington, Ia., former Waterloo resident and father of Fred C. Nus, 224 Reber Avenue, assistant foundry superintendent of the John Deere Tractor Company, died Friday morning in Arlington of a complication of diseases incident to advanced age. He was 81 years old.

Herman Nus moved to Waterloo from Arlington in 1909 after the death of his wife, and lived here for nine years at 1012 West Second Street. In 1918. he moved back to Arlington, and had lived there since in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jacob Wittorf.

He was born Dec. 9. 1859, at Arlington.

Surviving are the Waterloo son, Mrs. Wittorf and another son, Clarence, Arlington; four brothers in Arlington: Charles, Henry, Richard and Frank; two sisters. Mrs. Herman Schoeppe, Arlington, and Mrs. Alma Berger, Malmo, Minn.; four 'grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomorrow in St. John's Lutheran Church, Arlington. Burial will be in Taylorsville Cemetery near Arlington.
