C. H. Phillips, 72, of 828 Riehl Street, died at 10:40 a. m. Tuesday in Isolation Hospital of complications following a two-year illnes with diabetes and a heart ailment.

He was born Jan. 15, 1871, in Virginia and married Miss L. Elizabeth Gardner April 6, 1910, in Manchester, Ia. He has been a resident of Waterloo for the past 35 years and was employed by the Iowa Public Service Co. until two years ago.

Survivors are his wife, and three children by a former marriage, including a daughter and two sons.

The body has been taken to the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral home.

Funeral services for C. H. Phillips, 828 Riehl Street, who died Tuesday in Isolation Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home. Rev. H. E. Dierenficld, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will of officiate. Burial will be in Falrview Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

Casket bearers will be Carl Sorenson. Leslie Whitworth, Peter Jungen, Ray Miller, Carl Bishop and Edward Nebbitt.
