Frank Joseph Seidler, 83, of 332 High Street, died in his home at 11:30 p. m. Tuesday of complications.

Born in Reicherdorf, Austria Hungary, on Oct. 6, 1860, son of Engerlburt and Louisa Seidler, he came to America in 1878 and settled in Waterloo where he was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad until 1911, after which he served as a plunging foreman at John Deere Tractor Co. He retired about 11 years ago.

He married Anna Wahn Wahl in Waterloo Sept. 21, 1885. She preceded him in death Aug. 5, 1935. A son, Robert; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Stowell and Miss Bessie Seidler; and a granddaughter also preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons, Fred G., 839 Lime street, Stewart R., 341 High Street, and Walter, 332 High Street; three daughters, Miss Natalie Seidler, 332 High Street, Mrs. Florence Bales, 321 Oliver Street, and Mrs. Frieda Smith, 842 Lime Street, and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted in Trinity American Lutheran Church, of which he had been a member, at 2 p.m. Friday by Rev. G. E. Melchert, pastor. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery [Waterloo].

A prayer service for Frank Joseph Seidler, who died Tuesday night in his home, 332 High Street will be held in the chapel of Petersen Brothers Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The body will then be taken to Trinity American Lutheran church for funeral services at 2 p. m.

Casket bearers will be two sons Fred G. and Stewart, and four grandsons. Lester J. Graham. Pvt Richard Seidler, now in Naperville, Illinois, naval aviation cadet Meredith Smith, now in Minneipolis. Minn., and Wayne A. Seidler, Waterloo.
