DEATH OF CHARLES E. LETCHFORD
Came from Marshalltown Ill With Typhoid Fever
At 5 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of his brother, W. A. Letchford, corner of South and Seventh Streets, occurred the death of Charles E. Letchford
This young man came to Waterloo from Marshalltown about three weeks ago having contracted a case of typhoid fever during a three-weeks stay. He had gone to Marshalltown from Minnesota, and previous to that time was in South Dakota.
Mr. Letchford was born in Halling, Kent, England, May 2, 1878, one day previous to the death of his father. He came to America in 1890 with his mother and his sister, Mrs. G. W. Pett, and located in Waterloo, which has been his home much of the time since then.
The remaining relatives are the mother. Mrs. H. Pett, and the following named brothers and sisters, all of whom live in Waterloo except one brother: Wm. A. Letchford, Mrs. Jesse McLain, Alex Letchford, living in England; Mrs. G. W. Pett, Arthur Pett and James Pett.
The funeral services will occur Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Congregational Church; interment in the Waterloo Cemetery.
