Shirley F. Buhrow, 55, of Kearney died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Good Samaritan Hospital
Services: Saturday, Godberson Mortuary in Gibbon with burial later.

Born July 20, 1949, in Garnavillo, Iowa to Richard and Fay (Decker) Thein. She grew up in Garnavillo and graduated from Garnavillo High School; attended Allen Hospital Nursing School in Waterloo, Iowa and received her LPN degree. Married April 23, 1971, to Brian Buhrow in Galena, Ill.

Lived in Cedar Falls, Iowa; movedto Norfolk, Nebr., in 1975; to North Platte in 1982; to Lexington in 1983; and to Kearney in 1993

Survivors include her husband; son, Richard of Kearney; daughters, Melissa of Kearney and Amanda of Omaha; parents of Garnavillo; brothers, Troy Thein of Elkader, Iowa, and Dale Thein, Ron Thein and Mick Thein, all of Garnavillo; sister, Sandy Dingbaun of Earlville, Iowa; three grandchildren; and her maternal grandmother; also sisters-in-law, Muffin Thein of Elkader and Sarah Thein, Jane Thein and Peg Thein, all of Garnavillo; and brother-in-law, Mike Dingbaun of Earlville
