Adam James Oberbroeckling, 2, of Carmel, Ind., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 23, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center of respiratory failure.

He was born March 3, 1998, in Indianapolis, Ind., son of Daniel J. and Carol B. Nelson Oberbroeckling.

Survived by his parents of Carmel; two sisters, Amy and Erica, both at home; paternal grandparents, Bob and Lois Oberbroeckling of Waterloo; and maternal grandparents, the Rev. Benard and Evelyn Nelson of Fremont, Neb.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Memorial services: Tuesday, May 2, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carmel.
