WATERLOO - Ethel T. Andrews, 87, of Waterloo, formerly of Mallard Pointe, Sarasota, Fla., and Binghamton, N.Y., died Sunday, May 8, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Constable, N.Y., daughter of David C. and Mabel Wilson Tuggey. She married Heath Dodge Andrews on Feb. 17, 1968, in Binghamton. He died Nov. 9, 1991.

Mrs. Andrews was the manager for an insurance financing business. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Waterloo. In Sarasota she was a member of N-Chanters of Sahib Shrine Temple, Center Gate Social Committee, Southside Book Club, Sarasota Memorial Society and of St. Andrews United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Roger) Hoy of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Mark (Cathy) McGinnis of Virginia Beach, Va., Michael (Brooks) McGinnis of Allentown, Pa., Kevin (Christine) McGinnis of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and David McGinnis of Bethlehem, Pa.; two great-grandchildren: Hannah and Abby.

Preceded in death by four brothers, James, Charles, Robert and Duncan Tuggey; and a sister, Elizabeth Orton.

Family-directed memorial services: 5 p.m. today at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with inurnment later in St. Andrews Memorial Garden, Sarasota. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the East Central Iowa Chapters of the Alzheimers Association, 1642 42nd St. N.E. Cedar Rapids 52402.
