Edward Thomas Martin, 28, of 1246 Mullan Ave., died Friday, Nov. 3, 1999* at Sentra Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Va.; cause of death pending doctor's certification of death certificate.

He was born Sept. 15, 1972, in Greenwood, Miss., son of Thomas Lee and Aria Jane "Sis" Martin Thomas.

Mr. Martin attended the Waterloo schools and formerly worked with IBP, Waterloo, and Transportation Safety, Chesapeake, Va.

Survived by two daughters, Lataisha Martin of Cedar Rapids and Malashia Martin of Waterloo; three brothers, Lendell and Kevin, both of Waterloo, and Tony of Eureka, Calif.; and two sisters, Ariamanda "Mandy" Johnson of Chesapeake and Annie Mae Martin of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Alberta Martin.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Union Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Shaulis Road Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Greer Funeral Home, and for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family, which will be receiving friends at 302 Fowler St.
