WATERLOO - Mildred V. Burman, 75, of 732 Riehl St., died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001 at Allen Hospital of cancer.

She was born Dec. 13, 1925, in New Hartford, daughter of Millard and Fannie Witte Jones. She married Robert Loren Burman Jan. 20, 1949, in Jesup. He died Aug. 20, 1968.

Mrs. Burman was a secretary for the Waterloo school system for 17 years, retiring in 1968.

Survived by two sons, David of Waterloo and Dusty of Phoenix; and a brother, Rex Jones of Independence.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
