Vera Luther, 78, of Denver, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at home of natural causes/

Survivors include her husband, Vern; three sons, Bill Strein of Castalia, Jim Strein of Fresno, Calif., and Denny Strein of Altamont, Mo.; a daughter, Jeanine Stanford of Waterloo; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, David Luther; and three brothers, Orville, James and Charles Laugridge.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Denver, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, with family present from 4 to 8 p.m.; visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or to charity of donor's choice.

Mrs. Luther worked at Rath Packing Co. and John Deere, both in Waterloo.
